This day was a very special day for all of us at Beach Metal Detectives. Dan the Photographer and friend of the hopeful Groom, contacted me about a metal detector rental to be used as a working prop for Jonathon’s wedding Proposal on Clearwater Beach.

I also had contact with Jonathon on his intentions. He wanted to have the metal detector ready and set up with a seeded target, marking his PROPOSAL POINT. Dan and I made it to the drop zone, and staged the machine, target, and our vantage points. All along the way we had textual contact w/ the Groom.

During this time I had sent Jon instructions on how to power up the detector, and had his setting on point, and where to find it, leaning next to a palm tree. The PROPOSAL POINT was between the 3 Palms.

I was right there in eye sight of the gear. The Operation went off w/o a hitch…lol.

Just a short time later, the couple came into view and Jon, “Activated the plan”…turning on the preset machine, handing it to Kelly, as she swung over the beeping target, Jonathon, reached down in the sand, took a knee, pulled her engagement ring from the earth and…

…Popped the question! YES!
